What will you do with the little ones you love this February half term?  Whether you’re looking to don your wellies for a themed walk, dance the day away, or celebrate Valentine’s Day family style, here are half term activities the entire family will enjoy.

Ideas for your half term 2017

1/.Share the love on Valentine’s Day with a Romeo Romeo Valentine Party at The Rainbow Factory in Leeds.

Rainbow 3 kidsRainbow Factory is open every day during the half term with activities inspired by children’s Mystery books, but on February 14th it will open exclusively guests who have tickets to their family-friendly Valentine’s Day party!  Valentine fun will include a theatre show, games, crafts and a prize for the best dressed.

Rainbow Factory managing director Hazel Merlino said: “Why should the grown-ups have all the fun on Valentine’s Day?  We believe a day that celebrates love should belong to everyone, regardless of age.”

“Our heartwarming event – filled with music, laughter, storytelling and crafts – is the perfect way to show your little ones how much you love them.”

Tickets for the Valentine party are £4 for adults, £8 for children, and babies under 12 months go free.  For tickets and more information visit here.

2/. Follow in the footsteps of the witch and her pets on the Julia Donaldson inspired Room on the Broom Trail at Anglers Country Park near Wakefield.

Parking is free and the park has both a cafe and an adventure playground.  There are also Room on the Broom trail activity packs that can be purchased for £2 at the visitors centre which include stickers, activity sheets and crayons.

3/.Get the family grooving with a love-themed Family Rave with Boom Chikka Boom.

What happens at a family rave?  Ravers can expect lights, music, dancing, bubbles and parachute fun across West Yorkshire this half term!

Boom Chikka Boom founder Faye said: “We love Raving throughout the school holidays.  Each crowd gives us such a different vibe, which helps to keep it exciting and fresh.”

“We’ve got 10 Raves over 7 days so it’s going to be a crazy week for sure. The question is who will be the craziest?! Leeds, Shipley, Halifax, Wetherby, Farsley, Huddesfield, Manchester?”

Prices vary.  Tickets are available to book via the Boom Chikka Boom website, www.boomchikkaboom.com.
